Saving Infected Teeth With Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is performed to replace the infected pulp with a filling. Treatment is used to preserve teeth, which generally need to be removed.

Root canals consist of nerves and veins that support the teeth and provide oxygen and nutritional supplements. When caries in the outer layer of a tooth are neglected, it reaches the root canals, where the nerves and veins are infected and aroused.

This causes pain and swelling and, if left untreated, can damage the surrounding bone structure, leading to a tooth abscess. In this way, the root canal treatment is carried out to remove the colored pulp and replace it with a filler.

Root canal technique:

Root canal treatment is also known as endodontic treatment and includes cleaning and disinfecting the root canal and emptying contaminated tissue.

This system is completed by your dentist for more than two or more visits, depending on the situation. If the tooth has a dynamic infection, then the antimicrobial is left for 3-5 days to reduce pain and disease.

At the first visit, the filling was performed after the tooth was thoroughly cleaned. At the next visit, the temporary filling was evacuated, the canal was filled and the tooth was fixed with a crown.

Do not eat solid food until treatment is complete. Maintain good oral hygiene through normal brushing and flossing. Limit your intake of sugar and cola.
